Top tips for finding cheap flights to Edmonton

  • Enter your preferred departure airport and travel dates into the search form above to unlock the latest Edmonton flight deals.
  • Edmonton International Airport (YEG) is the main arrival airport for flights to Edmonton. The buses that travel from the airport to the Century Park Transit Centre without making any stops along the route are the most convenient and affordable means of transport from YEG to the city centre. However, taxis offer the fastest means of transport from the airport to the city centre, with a ride taking about 25 minutes.
  • Flights to Edmonton also have Red Deer Regional Airport (YQF) as the arrival airport other than YEG. The advantage of landing at YQF, which is a less popular arrival airport, is that you have higher chances of getting cheaper flight deals. Additionally, you will enjoy greater convenience upon landing, thanks to the shorter queues at the security checkpoints in the airport.
  • Edmonton International Airport also severs a number of other nearby cities in addition to Edmonton. Saint Albert, Sherwood Park, and Beaumont are some of the nearby cities that are conveniently accessible from YEG. Beaumont, Sherwood Park, and Saint Albert are 16 km, 41 km, and 53 km from Edmonton International Airport, respectively. You can conveniently connect to these cities from YEG using car rentals.
  • If you book flights to Edmonton often, consider signing up for the Edmonton International Airport Rewards Program. This program provides travellers with a variety of perks including discounts at the airport’s stores, parking deals, and the opportunity to earn points to spend on different amenities or products.
  • For travellers that are art enthusiasts, make sure to stop by the permanent art collection in the main terminal of Edmonton International Airport. This exhibit contains work from both local and international artists, and it is an easy way to stretch your legs and unwind after your flight to Edmonton.
  • Planning on flying with the kids? Visit one of the children’s playrooms that are located throughout the Departures terminal of Edmonton International Airport. Filled with activities, toys, and games, these playrooms allow children to blow off some steam either before or after a long day of travelling.
  • To help yourself de-stress after your flight lands, keep your eyes open for the Pet Therapy Society volunteers wearing blue t-shirts in Edmonton International Airport. These volunteers lead groups of trained dogs throughout the airport in order to say hi to travellers and calm down individuals that may not like flying.
  • If you will be flying within 24 hours of your flight to Edmonton, consider storing some of your luggage or personal items at the Baggage Storage Center at the Ground Transportation Office of Edmonton International Airport. Storage is priced per day and varies depending on the size of the item that you would like to keep there.

Thanks for giving a beer to everyone in the seat infront of me and then telling me that I can’t have one because they are going to land. I guess I need to pay for a seat and then pick one in the very front of the plane

Thanks for giving a beer to everyone in the seat infront of me and then telling me that I can’t have one because they are going to land. I guess I need to pay for a seat and then pick one in the very front of the plane

The flight was delayed by more than one hour. The terminal was consequently overcrowded and hot. We lost our car reservation and hit rush hour traffic in Boston, which added two hours stuck in traffic to our trip.

Awesome, the whole way through. Thank you, this is the new Canadian Airline benchmark.

We were given a complimentary seat upgrade which was so unexpected but so lovely!

Porter was excellent. Boarding was a breeze. The seats were a little uncomfortably but the overall trip was excellent.

Only packaged snacks were served. It was a flight at lunchtime and a hot meal would have been a great.

Reserve check-in was very slow compared to regular check-in. Internet was slow

Lavatories broke with an hour to go. At least we were on time.

Chaotic boarding, but mostly my issues are with Toronto airport

Flight delayed by half hour, causing rush to get to connecting flight in Toronto Pearson which doesn’t have good flow for managing immigration check and connections.

Delays happen but communication and care were very low on what ended up being a long day.

they forgot to load our luggage onto the plane and we were without it for half of our trip to Paris. Didn’t seem to have much interest in getting it to us expeditiously.

Loved everything, especially during check in, very amazing people, they were so patient with me cos my bag was overweight. Loved their service. I’ll be using them again.

As per usual, lately, the flight was delayed. I can’t recall the last time a WestJet flight was on time.

I like the leg room in the exit isle..easier to get past people and I did t have to pay extra! Westjet changed my return flight time to a night flight 2 weeks before I left and left me hanging with NO HELP to resolve all the frustration they caused since I booked thru BudgetAir. They receive the lowest of star ratings I can give (if there was negative stars I’d be using those) for customer support and an overall bad score for the rest of the experience! So sad cause they used to good :)

Better boarding process, but not the fault of the airline… people are dumb.

No issues at all! Seats are small with very little leg room but it's what you expect from a low budget airline. I would definitely use them again.

It was my first experience with westjet and it is really awesome to travel with westjet. I highly recommend to everyone.

West jet once again canceled the flight delaying my travel this is inexcusable they are not capable of running an airline

We booked a ticket with Budget Air and the receipt said economy. My older teen daughter is neurodivergent and took a carry on bag since the ticket said economy, but she didn't see that it said no bags on her boarding pass. She has low attention. She managed to fly from Prince George to Calgary. At Calgary, she was preparing to board her last flight and the women said you can't get on. She said you can't board unless you pay for those bags. She had a small backpack, purse and carry on suitcase. She said you have to pay $160 +. My daughter has trouble understanding. She said can you step out of line to think about what you want to do. Then she said we have to leave you'll have to catch another flight. She called me in tears. I asked her to pass the phone to the agent. She said the agent was refusing to take the phone and ignoring her. I finally calmed her down enough to politely ask the woman to take my credit card. I told the woman of my daughter's challenges and need for extra helps. All she did was lecture me on how we booked ultra basic and we should have checked. She took my number and charged my card. Then I heard her push the phone back to my daughter and tell her to get on. My poor daughter was scared and confused and had to fly in tears. No apologies.

Flight was cancelled due to problems with the aircraft . Not much else to add . Itinerary was changed from yeg to Yule direct . Fine .

Both my flights from Calgary to Montreal were pleasant. I should also mention my gratitude to the two ladies at YYC who helped with my check in and went out of their way to assist me.

Flt was Vanc to Toronto. You don’t serve food and child behind me kicking the seat. Otherwise good.

Due to the approaching strike I have to admit Air Canada personnel showed empathy and compassion.Thank you for an enjoyable flight

Lots of selection for entertainment. Fight was comfortable. However. The flight was delayed multiple times. And the delay caused us to miss an important mwwting.

More room for carry-on. Or having people bring correct carry-on.

I was instructed to put my carry on under my seat, because it was a backpack, not a wheeled carrying. It it almost the same size as a wheeled carrying, soni had no legroom for the flight and could not even put my feet flat on the floor. I spent the entire flight with my ankle and knee twisted and could barely walk by the time we landed. As other travellers boarded, the same flight attendant allowed them to put their small backpacks in the overhead bins, along with their wheeled carry ons. There were empty luggage bins when the plane took off. Air Canada clearly does not care.about the comfort of their passengers.

To be honest, nothing went well. Our flight was cancelled and we had a total nightmare trying to find out information of what to do. We had $2000.00 in frozen fish that we had to locate and then fight with Air Canada to get a hotel for the night that had a freezer. It took over 5 hours to resolve and 5 levels of management. We went from the customer service desk to a manager, to a lead manager, who had to contact Toronto, who had to wait for an answer from another level of management as to whether or not they could put us up at a "business class" hotel since it was the only option and we were "econo class" passengers. The vouchers we received for food barely bought a supper and breakfast and although the hotel was nice, our fish was definitely not cared for from start to finish and after a once in a lifetime fishing trip to have it end the way it did was such a disappointment and Air Canada, well, they really didn't care.

Internet wouldn’t work even after I paid for the package. That was my only real complaint, otherwise excellent.

I called to put a stop to this ticket because it was fraudulent. Nobody stopped it. Then they sent me to Mastercard to fight it alone. Thanks (Sarc) to everyone who helped facilitate fraud and would not dare attempt to stop it.

Personally, I will not use this fight again. The service is poor, you have to buy even water. They don't provide anything even sneak, you have to buy. They said Personally items for 7 kg. Then they use some measurements, if you have 7kg and if it's not getting inside of their measurements, you have to pay 80$ this is robbery. I will prefer other flight then this. I am désappointement taking this airplane.

It’s a shameful company. It ask as to go to counter to take the boarding pass, they simply send it by email, just to check the bags’ size in a smaller than normal template. DONT USE FLAIR! It will be more expensive than normal airlines at the end.

flight was okay, no wifi, no free drinks but worst of all they lost my son's bike for four days. Customer service was nonexistent - call a number that leaves you on perpetual hold, there's no baggage folks in the baggage claims area (in vancouver). we went up to international and nobody was at ticketing, went to domestic and they had us fill out a form. they could not tell us where the bag was. Anyway, highly recommend you drop an airtag for anything that's worth more than $500. My son's bike costs a lot more than that to replace; I was on pins and needles for four days.

The crew of this flight, specially the flight attendant in the front were the sweetest I’ve had in all my life, I genuinely hope they get a race or sum cuz of their efforts. It was just quite unsettling that the flight took so long to departure. It was supposed to leave at 10:35pm and we ended up taking off at 11:22pm…👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

It’s bare bones but was on time so can’t complain.

Of all the countries I've flown to and airlines from around the world, I have never had such a dismissive an arrogant employee during boarding. After waiting in line for 20 minutes to board, I was sent to a second line for Passport verification. Natalie from Flair, repeatedly tried to scan my passport which didn't work for some reason but was too lazy to input my information manually. Bar code scanners aren't 100% reliable as we all know. She asked me my birthdate 3 times, made me wait to be the last person aboard and then smugly threatened me that my only bag could be charged for (same backpack I used as on my arrival as carry on). Natalie working in Ft. Lauderdale and the was the epitome of lobotomized tiktok brain with the charm of junk mail.

Food selection is very poor and sears are very uncomfortable.

Flight was 3 hrs late and another 2 hrs wait for baggage to arrive on carousel and a $7.00 food voucher that arrived as we were boarding our flight.

Seat rows so close together no one dares to put their seats back. Knees pressed against the seat in front, had to find a position putting my legs under the seat in front. But for 6 hours keeping that one position was ridiculous. All savings on the purchase price are taken back through charge backs for luggage $200 each way, Seat selection $44 per seat or you are seated by a computer randomly. Wife sat 5 rows away. Would avoid Flair in the future

The flight was safe (priority). Everything else is low-cost: too hard, delays, mediocre boarding, cost for carry-on and checked luggage.

The flight was canceled. We only found out at the airport. We had to book another flight which cost us more then the whole trip booked through Kayak. Lynx took our email and was supposed to write us with an alternate flight. We never received an email. They talked about reimbursement which was to be explained in the email (which we never received).

The online system for Lynx air to pay for additional baggage is not satisfactory. I was charged 100+$ for my suitcase when I tried to explain that the online payment was not functional using the app and showed screenshots of the same. In the end I gave up and paid and went ahead.

No snacks, just water.... could have been better. The actual flight was good.

Flight delayed by 4 hours but no communication. With passengers until after the posted departure time became apparent the flight was not going to board even close to on time.

Flight was sent canceled. The absolute most useless staff I have ever witnessed. Utterly careless - literally could not care less. 100% never using this airline again.

Poor communication at the check in counter and boarding gates.

Other then the screaming baby the flight was fine, nothing special

Check in experience was smooth, and the flight attendants were courteous and friendly. Very positive experience overall, thank you all!

Flight arrived late but other than that everything else okay

Great price for a new plane. Only offered water which we knew.
