KAYAK’s top tips for finding a cheap flight from Newark Airport to Myrtle Beach

  • In addition to Newark Liberty Airport (EWR), both JFK and LaGuardia Airport (LGA) serve the New York area. If you want an airport with better amenities and facilities, consider booking flights that depart from JFK Airport.
  • If you plan to leave your car at the airport parking, ensure you compare the rates offered by onsite parking lots to those offered by offsite parking lots. In most cases, offsite parking lots charge significantly lower prices than parking lots located inside the airport.
  • LaGuardia Airport is the closest one of the three major airports serving New York to the city center. Therefore, if you don’t want a long commute to the airport, consider booking flights that depart from LGA Airport.
  • If you’re looking for specific inflight services, confirm that they are offered on that particular flight. This is because different flights tend to have different services available, so what is offered on one flight might not be the same offered on a different flight.
  • Nursing moms will be happy to know that Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) has specially designated nursing rooms. It is located across the Subway between Concourses A and B.

My experience was okay. The flight did not offer even water without a fee. Also had to pay extra for my carry on, as I was told I had to check my bag, even though it said I had the option to carry on a bag when booking. This costed me an extra $100. Would likely not fly with Spirit again.

My experience was okay. The flight did not offer even water without a fee. Also had to pay extra for my carry on, as I was told I had to check my bag, even though it said I had the option to carry on a bag when booking. This costed me an extra $100. Would likely not fly with Spirit again.

The booking was cancelled the next day. Spirit Airlines refunded Kayak cheapflay the full amount, but I was only refunded half. Costumer service is disgusting. Be careful. You can lose your money.

They are very particular about size of the bag. Mine is small bag and has wheels. Bag wheel edges are bit outside of the measurements bucket. They charged $99 as carryon bagage

The plane flew smoothly and the crew was polite and kind. We loved our flight!

The senior flight attendant was engaging, funny and made everyone feel at ease. She is an asset to your team.

Needs legroom for tall people. Needs to offer a glass of water.

Spirit canceled the flight, sent no notification and then refused to issue a refund. Trash airline, will never fly again.

Boarding was smooth and on time. Flight itself was smooth (aside from some turbulence) and no glitches. On the downside, Spirit's no-frills service was as expected (no food or drink, cramped seating, extra cost for carry-ons, etc.), the announcements were nearly incomprehensible, and the constant niggling offers of upgrades and other services for sale (wifi, sandwiches, etc.) is annoying. Overall, a pleasant and uneventful experience - definitely worth the price.

Not efficient. Missed my connecting flight over improper operation of spirit crew.

We got to fly on the new airplane. Much better as it’s roomier and cleaner than before. Most Importantly it’s much more comfortable. I still can’t move the seat back but the extra space made up for it. I didn’t taste the food or drinks because they charge for everything so I didn’t bother. I didn’t experience the entertainment because I downloaded my own movies on my phone. The crew was great. The flight itself was smooth . No complaints.
