KAYAK’s top tips for finding a cheap flight from Seattle to Kathmandu

  • On the day your flight from Seattle Airport (SEA) to Kathmandu Tribhuvan Airport (KTM) is scheduled, it is advisable to get to the airport at least 2 hours before departure. SEA requires all passengers to go through several security checkpoints to uphold security in the airport, which may be time-consuming. Arriving early at the airport reduces the risk of missing your flight.
  • If you still have time to kill before your flight, you could relax with a massage at SEA. There is a massage bar located airside in the N gates, and it is operational between 6 am and 7 pm during the weekdays and between 7 am and 8 pm during the weekends. A foot or chair massage will make you feel very relaxed before you board the flight to KTM.
  • Suppose you want to get to SEA from nearby towns using public transport. If that is the case, you have the option of using a bus, a taxi, or a train. King County Metro buses drop passengers on the street close to the airport next to the Sea-Tac Airport LINK Light rail station. Alternatively, you can use the LINK Light rail system to get to the airport, whose station is located on the 4th floor of the parking garage.
  • When you get to KTM, chances are that you will be exhausted because of the journey and the jetlag that comes with it. While there are no onsite hotels in the airport, there are several within walking distance. They include Hotel Marinha, Summit Residency, and Kathmandu Airport hotel.
  • If you wish to convert your currency from USD to rupees once you get to KTM, you can do so at the currency exchange counters in the Arrivals lounge of the full-service banking branch at the Departures lounge.

We were not given option for meals since they ran out of the other option but good thing the remaining options tasted great.

Horrendous. We upgraded and they took the money but cancelled one of our tickets. The recline action didn’t work on the seats for the flight from Singapore to London, pre booked meals but they seemed to have disappeared as well.. Phone customer service was horrendous. Took 5 phone calls and no fix. Craig at the airport was the only one who seemed to be able to get the ticket back.

Very good flight from Boarding to landing -efficient and comfortable with decent entertainment options

Construction at PDX resulting in very lung walk from the rental car to the gate. SFO, extremely long walk between terminals to get to connecting Singapore airlines flight. My smart watch recorded a total of 3 miles.

Crew and service was excellent, but passengers should be offered a welcome drink before take off which did not happen. Food was very good. Unfortunately the lie-flat bed in business class was one of the most uncomfortable I have experienced. The configuration forces you to sleep with your legs at an angle instead of in a straight line, plus there is very little padding on the bed so it wasn't possible to sleep for more than 2-3 hours on an 18 hour flight. For what the airlines charges for a business class ticket their hard product leaves a lot to be desired.

Everything was great keep up the good work 😁, can't ask for more.

Flight from SFO did not include entertainment as it was not working the entire duration of the flight. Was informed that there would be a $350 voucher for the inconvenience. Uncertain how the voucher will be provided.

The food options and quality could use some more excitement and variety.

Overall, very good. The food was better than expected with the exception of the pork and potatoes dinner at the end of the flight. My family all selected that dish and did not set it. I tried a bite also and it was honestly terrible. Also, it would be helpful to know when the snacks in the back of the plane are available.

Crews were very caring and polite. Washroom was surprisingly clean. Overall experience was good , only food choices was very limited. Thanks
