Top tips for finding cheap flights to Florida

  • Morning departure is around 39% cheaper than an evening flight, on average*.
  • Anyone flying from Windsor to Florida will need to depart from Windsor International Airport (YQG), but you will have a few different options when it comes to which airport in Florida can be your arrival point. Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL) are two of the most common destinations for those making their way to Florida from Windsor.
  • There are only five airlines that fly out of Windsor International Airport, and, unfortunately, not all of them are going to be able to help you get to Florida. But Air Canada is one of the airlines that flies out of Windsor regularly, and it has quite a few flights that head toward Orlando International Airport, in particular, each week.
  • Air Canada does have direct flights from Windsor International Airport to Florida. But most of the flights to Florida offered by the airline require at least one stop. These flights often include layovers at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). You may be able to save money on flights when you agree to endure layovers, but stopping even just once on your way to Florida might double your travel time.
  • Speaking of saving money, one of the best ways to do it might be by scaling back on how much you pack for a flight from Windsor to Florida. If you bring even a single suitcase and have to check it, you will be charged a fee by most airlines. You may be better off packing a carry-on bag and bringing it on the plane with you to avoid fees.
  • In the days and weeks after you book a flight, your airline will likely email you special offers that will allow you to upgrade to first class at a discounted rate. If you haven’t ever had the chance to fly first class, doing it while flying from Windsor to Florida could be a great idea.

My mother, 80years old, had arranged for wheelchair assist to and from the aircraft cabin and in the airport but, no one showed up for her to de-plane. Seating for almost 3 hours in the plan before aircraft takeoff. Very exhausted .

The bathroom did not have hand soap. That is unacceptable.

I was seated next to someone who was, to be polite, not a small person. I had to press myself against the wall as I had no personal space. Aside from that the crew was wonderful and they got me home safely, which is the most important part of my journey. I am very appreciative to your air crews for the job they have, which isn't easy, and appreciative of the fact that they are professional and courteous. The employees I encountered on my journey, with the few exceptions I mentioned in a previous review, are a credit to Air Canada.

Air Canada had a lot of delays on our flight going back to Seattle. So much inconvenience for a long trip.

The Carry-on luggage that approved by TSA and all other airlines,- always an issue with Air Canada. This is inappropriate as my carry on suitcase meets the requirements however it always asked to check in on AC flight on the gate. Yes I have it for free, but it takes extra time to pick up on the carousel. Apparently it fit the overhead space, so why AC has this issue all the time?

The terminal this flight boarded from was so far away, poorly temperature controlled, and generally uncomfortable. The plane was small but the flight was short, so it wasn't so bad.

Seriously need to improve the time schedule and the plans

Great TV, easy boarding, wonderful ground crew and flight crew.

Rude Customer Service at checkin, 90 minute limit in flight check in is too strict. I was in line for 30 minutes because of slow/insufficient workers. Somewhere I got to the the counter of course the employee warned me about the 90 minutes. People were cutting the lines. No one did anything.

Captain waited 45 minutes for late passengers boarding from Washington DC to Munich which was nice for them but caused our luggage to miss boarding our connection on to Bucharest. We then did not receive our luggage for about 48 hours after landing which was very inconvenient for our travel.

The worst experience of my life and I have been flying for 33 years

We were very upset when we checked in for our flight to be charged 208,00 euro for luggage fees when the site clearly states we are authorized one checked bag each and one carry-on. We have never experienced anything like this with Lufthansa and are very disappointed. We should be reimbursed this erroneous charge. I can forward all receipts once I am able to scan the them.

Poor, we had 1 hour to grab our checked luggage, go through customs, recheck bags and run across terminals to make our United flight. Poorly planned connections.

Check in in Albuquerque was awful. The people were great but they were over loaded. The procedures were terrible. We got through fine but it took 90+ minutes.

The seats are much too narrow and the arm rests are hard and awkwardly high, resulting in shoulder cramps. I am an average sized person ( definitely not overweight). The seats are a similar size to car seats with the added discomfort of incorporating hard plastic arm rests, that force average height individuals (I'm 5 ft 7 (f)) to hold their arms uncomfortably for several hours. The seats are much too close to the ones in front and behind making it extremely difficult to allow fellow passengers to get out, especially when the seat in front is declined. The leg room also necessitates knees banging into passengers backs for the entire flight. This used to be a quality airline who now offer mediocre service for premium cost, coupled with charging exorbitant prices for basic needs, like a seat, or luggage. Blatant and unabashed gouging of clients.

Crew was very nice and helpful. It was a good flight experience.

Efficient boarding. Good flight but seats were quite uncomfortable considering we'd already been sitting on two flights, total 13 hours or so. Would have liked to have prices on the menu of amenities on the plane. We could have used more water. Restrooms and nonalcoholic beverages at no extra cost, not much else. I realize these were discount tickets, and the airline has to break even, so I can't say we were expecting amenities to be plentiful. Still, it's nice with long flights to discover a few. Very pleasant crew though.

Will try to not fly with them again. Delays because of weather but got redirected to an airport where I could not make connection.

Staff didn’t care in business class. Closed the door on my mom while she was on the jetbridge and flight attendant told me she would make it from the connecting flight. They lied. My luggage was damaged on arrival. No success in filing damage claim.
